Shivaji University Recruitment 2013- For Assistant Professor Post:Shivaji University (Marathi: शिवाजी विद्यापीठ), established in 1962, is located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. It is spread over a sprawling campus of 853 acres(3.4519 km2). The University is named after the Great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire. It was inaugurated on 18 November 1962 by Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the then President of India. Yashwantrao Chavan and Balasaheb Desai took the lead in establishing this University. Kolhapur, Sangli, and Satara come under its jurisdiction with 279 affiliated colleges and recognised institutes.[2] One of the major objectives behind foundation of this University was to cater to the regional needs of South Maharashtra.

Educational Qualification::

A. (i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API), Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in UGC Regulation in Appendix III.
OR
B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

Pay Scale:

i) Professor – Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP Rs. 10000
ii) Associate Professor/ Dy. Librarian – Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP Rs. 9000
iii) Assistant Professor – Rs. 15600-39100 with AGP Rs. 6000

Age Limit: Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the ageAs on 01.09.2013 shall be 40 years. Further age relaxation is allowed for PwD) candidates as per rules.(further relaxation of 10 Years as per provision )

Note:The relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates in Rajasthan shall be applicable as per state government rules.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

At present, ‘#’ posts are published for lien period upto lien of teacher. These appointments are likely to be continued.

A relaxation of 5% marks will be provided from 55% to 50% of marks at the Master’s Level for SC/ST category.

Reserved candidates shall produce the Caste Validity Certificate as per the directives issued by the state Government vide Circular No. BCC-2011/ iz-Ø-1064@2011@16&cdated 12/12/2011.
