Summer: Summer generally sets in around March. The temperature starts rising from the month of April and continues till June. In places near the eastern Aravalli Range, the average summer temperature varies in between 40° C to 45° C, though the highest can be 49° C. As compared to the temperature in Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Phalodi and Barmer, areas of Mount Abu and Udaipur, have got a lower temperature of 31.5° C to 38° C. The summer nights in Rajasthan are quite pleasant, when the temperature falls down to 20° C to 29° C.
Monsoon: Varying from arid to moist climate, Rajasthan receives a very little rainfall. Monsoon starts in June end and last till mid-September. The average annual rainfall varies from one region to another. Mount Abu, being the highest recipient of annual rainfall receives around 163.8 cm of rainfall, whereas, the lowest ranges from 10 cm in the north-western Jaisalmer to 30 cm in Bikaner.
Winter: Contradicting the hot summer weather, winter temperature falls down to as low as 10° C. January, being the coldest month of the year experiences even -2° C at night.
The best time to experience the vibrancy of Rajasthan is between the months of October to March.

City Palace: The gigantic City Palace in the capital city of Rajasthan is a fusion of Mughal architecture and traditions of Rajasthan. The palace includes two magnificent buildings like Mubarak Mahal and Chandra Mahal. Chandra Mahal, besides housing a museum, still is home to the royal family of the Maharaja of Jaipur.
Chittorgarh Fort: Chittorgarh Fort located at a height of 180 m over 280 ha area reflects the quintessence of homage to the courage, sacrifice, nationalism and medieval chivalry. This is on of the forts that witnessed three blood-spattered sieges.
