NTPC Vacancy Details:

Age Limit: Candidates upper age limit should not exceed 27 years as on 18-01-2014.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess full time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology/ AMIE in relevant discipline with not less than 65% marks, taking average of all the years, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular year by the Institute/ University. Final year/semester students are also eligible however they have to obtain at least 65% marks in their Engineering Degree.

Selection Process:
Eligible candidates will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2014. Based on the GATE-2014 MARKS and requirement, candidates will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks in GD & Interview, before being considered in the merit list.

Registration Fee:

Candidates have to pay the registration fee of Rs.150/- for General/OBC category and no fee for SC / ST / PWD category candidates. The fee should be deposited at State Bank of India in a specially opened account (No. 30987919993) at CAG branch, New Delhi, on behalf of NTPC.

How to Apply:

Eligible candidates should register themselves through the website
www.gate.iitkgp.ac.in/gate2014 from 02-09-2013 to 01-10-2013 and appear for GATE-2014. After applying online candidates will receive GATE-2014 Registration Number printed on their admit card. On receipt of GATE registration number, the candidates need to apply On-line for NTPC ET-2014 on the website www.ntpccareers.net from 20-12-2013 to 18-01-2014.
