The Meghalaya Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd. (MCAB) was established in 1971, with the formation of Meghalaya State after bifurcation of the erstwhile Assam State . Since then the Bank has developed and expanded its activities / operations and has grown in manifolds. MCAB commenced Banking operations with just two branches – one at Shillong and the other at Tura. Today, the Bank has a wide network of 43 branches, spread throughout the State providing effective banking products and other related services to the general public. The MCAB has mobilized Deposit Resources of more than Rs.911.68 crores and has advanced over Rs.263.23 crores as on 31.03.2010 for various development activities in the State. The MCAB is a house hold name in Meghalaya.
The MCAB as a pioneer in Banking in Meghalaya, has taken banking to the doorsteps of the people of the State and has been able to nurture and develop banking habits among the people. This has changed the saving habit of people from the traditional methods to the modern banking facilities to earn remunerative returns for their savings invested with the Bank and utilize various attractive and innovative banking products offered by MCAB.
The Bank has provided Debt Relief to more than 54000 farmers amounting to Rs.9.81 crores under the ‘Agricultural and Rural Debt Relief Scheme’ 1990 sponsored by the Govt. of Meghalaya and made them Debt Free & re-eligible to avail loans and advances from the MCAB.

Job Detail:
Educational Qualification:M.Tech (Computer Science/ Informatics /MCA/ M.Com./ M.A.(Eco)/MBA (Finance/HR) from a recognized University/ PGDM(Finance/HR) from AICTE recognized Institutes in India with a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate and with knowledge of computer operations.
Preference:Preference will be given to candidates having minimum 5 (five) years experience in Banking and those having Certificate/ Diploma in computer operations.
Selection Process : The selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test and interview. The written test will be objective type (General Awareness, Test of English language, Quantitative Aptitude and Test of Reasoning etc.) . Candidates who rank sufficiently high in the written test will be called for interview. Final selection shall be made on the ranking on the aggregate marks obtained in the Written Test and Interview. Decision of the Bank in this regard shall be final.
