General Manager Post: Kochi Metro Rail Ltd., a joint venture company of Govt. of India and Govt. of Kerala, set up to implement the Kochi Metro Rail Project, invites application from eligible candidates for the following positions:

KMRL will launch a three-layered environment conservation programme soon with the support of green groups, NGOs and big corporates.
In the first phase of the program, KMRL will be distributing saplings to major institutions including schools, colleges and offices in the city. The KMRL is also planning to partner with public sector companies and other big institutions in the state which have vast areas of vacant land. More than 5000 saplings have already been distributed.
The programme has much significance as environment activists have raised serious concerns over the possible loss of green cover to make way for the Metro project. Nearly 467 trees in various parts of the city have to be cut for the project.
KMRL will take initiatives not just to plant trees but also to nurture them.

Job Detail:
Qualification/Educational Criteria:Degree in Electrical Engineering from an institute of reputed University or Institution.
Desire Skill:Computer knowledge I.e., Data Entry, Word Processing and Computer Operations.
Experience:
Minimum 17 years experience in Group A Services of Indian Railways or its subsidiary/sister concerns, Metro Rail Corporations or any other department/PSU/Board/Organization of Government/Private sector Organizations.The candidate should have sufficient exposure in the planning, procurement, contract management, installation,testing and commissioning of modern Metro Rail systems comprising Rolling Stock integrated power distribution and traction systems,depot etc.
Age Limit(in yrs): Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the Maximum age should not exceed 55 years as on 1st August 2013
Pay Scale: Selected candidates would be eligible to get the pay scale of around Rs.20000/-.
