- Associate Professor : 16 posts in various subjects/ disciplines, Pay Scale : Rs. 37400 – 67000/- AGP Rs. 9000/-.
- Assistant Professor : 42 posts in various subjects/ disciplines, Pay Scale : Rs.15600 – 39100/- AGP Rs. 6000/-.
Educational Qualification:Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university plus Inter CA / ICWA.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs.37400–67000/-plus AGP : Rs.10000/-.
Age:Candidates maximum age limit for this post 50 Years.
Age Relaxation: Upto a maximum of 5 years in respect of SC/ST candidates; Upto a maximum of 3 years in respect of OBC candidates; Upto a maximum of 10 years if the candidate is a physically handicapped person.
Selection Process : Selection will be made on the basis interview.

The Indian Maritime University, came into being through an Act of Parliament (Act 22) on 14th November 2008 as a Central University and is poised to play a key role in the development of trained human resource for the maritime sector. 14th November is celebrated as ‘IMU Day’ every year.
