IIT Bombay Recruitment 2013 Research Assistant : Applications are invited from the citizens of India for filling up the following temporary position for the sponsored project undertaken in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of this Institute. The position is temporary initially for a period of 1 Year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The requisite qualification & experience etc. are given below :
Educational Qualification: B. E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum five years of industrial / research experience in the area of welding science and technology and finite element method based modeling, OR, M. E. / M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum three years of industrial / research experience in the area of welding science and technology and finite element method based modeling, AND All along first class / division in undergraduate and school leaving examination
Age Limit(in yrs): Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the maximum age of 27 years and minimum age should be 20 years.
Job Profile :
- Design, development and conduct of gas metal arc welding experiments,
- Modeling of gas metal arc welding process,
- Regular preventive maintenance of relevant machines and consumables needed for the project
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary Rs.21000/- p.m. + HRA
Note : The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
