The department caters to health needs of nearly 160 lakh population of the ever-growing metropolis and also has to share the burden of migratory as well as floating population from neighbouring states which constitute nearly 33% of total intake at major hospitals in Delhi. The Department of Health & Family Welfare of Government of NCT of Delhi is headed by the Principal Secretary. The department plays a significant role and is committed to provide health care facilities to the people of Delhi.

The Department of Health & Family Welfare of Government of NCT of Delhi is headed by the Principal Secretary. He is the controlling authority for Directorate of Health Services, Department of Health & Family Welfare; all Hospitals under Government of NCT of Delhi; Autonomous Bodies under Government of NCT of Delhi like IHBAS, Delhi AIDS Society, CATS; Directorate of Food Adulteration; Drug Controller and other National Programmes. This department liaisons with all other local bodies viz MCD, NDMC, Cantonment Board and other Government and Non Government Health Care Organizations functioning in the State of Delhi. The Principal Secretary coordinates for the Government of NCT of Delhi with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

Educational Qualification:: MBBS with P.G. Degree/Diploma/DNB in concerned specialty from a recognized university/Institution and should have a valid registration with Delhi Medical Council. Must have not completed 03 years Senior Residency in any recognized institution including regular & ad hoc period.

Pay Scale:Rs.15600 – 39100/- (Grade Pay-6600/-) plus admissible allowance.

Age Limit: Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the ageAs on 01.09.2013 shall be 40 years. Further age relaxation is allowed for PwD) candidates as per rules.(further relaxation of 10 Years as per provision )

Note:The relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates in Rajasthan shall be applicable as per state government rules.

Note:The candidate must have completed internship & appointment will be subject to Medical Fitness and verification of certificate of education qualification /age/category/DMC registration and internship completion certificate.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT:

Only Orthopedically disabled candidates are eligible (Medical certificate from the Govt. Institution is required) and the minimum degree of disability required is 40%.
All the eligible candidates should report in the office of the undersigned at 10 AM (Time for enrollment shall be from 10.00(AM) to 12.30(PM) on the day of interview.
The hostel accommodation is compulsory for JRs, subject to availability.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
Candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the advertisement before appearing the interview.
Other service conditions will be applicable as per service conditions proscribed from time to time by the Govt of NCT of Delhi.
Selected candidates shall be allowed to join within 7 days of issue of the offer letter failing which the offer shall stand automatically cancelled.
Eligible candidates may appear in the interview with bio data at 9.30 A.M. in the Conference Hall, 2nd floor Ward Block of this hospital with self attested copies of testimonials.
