Educational Qualification:Candidates should have passes
i) Bachelor degree in Ayurveda from recognized University or Council of Indian System of Medicine established by Law
or from an Ayurvedic College recognized by the Government.
ii) Post Graduate degree in Dravyaguna/ Ras Shastra ( Dravyaguna in Dravyaguna subject and Ras Shastra in Ras
Shastra subject) Specialty from any recognized University established by Law and recognized by CCIM or H.P.
Government.
Desirable qualification:- Knowledge of customs, manner, dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
Terms of Appointment :- One year, which may be extended further on year to year basis subject to satisfactory service and conduct of contract employee.
Pay Scale:Eligible candidates will get the pay of Approximate Rs.15300/-
Age Limit: Candidates age should not exceeding 65 years and should not less than 21 years.

About the Department of Ayurveda:
The Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) is a part of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of the Government of India.
In collaboration with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), AYUSH set up a Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL) in 2001, to prevent grant of “bed”patents on traditional knowledge and biopiracy, further the digital library is being developed on codified traditional knowledge on Indian systems of medicines such as Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha And Yoga. As an important measures nearly 805,000 Ayurvedic formulations, 98,700 Unani formulations, and 9,970 Sidha formulations have been transcribed in patent application format in five languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese
Department of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy (ISM&H) was created in March,1995 and re-named as Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) in November, 2003 with a view to providing focused attention to development of Education & Research in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy systems. The Department continued to lay emphasis on upgradation of AYUSH educational standards, quality control and standardization of drugs, improving the availability of medicinal plant material, research and development and awareness generation about the efficacy of the systems domestically and internationally.
