Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Environmental Science or Chemistry / Zoology or Marine Biology or Fisheries Science.

Experiance:At least two years experience in analysis of waste water samples and operation of various laboratory equipments like GCMS, CHNSO analyzer, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
To assist the CAA on FULL-TIME BASIS in Environmental Monitoring Programme as well as analysis of water samples by using various laboratory equipment.

Pay Scale:Selected candidates would be eligible to get the pay scale of around  Rs.6600-8700/-

Age Limit: Candidates who are appearing for this post should have the age 40Years.

General Condition:

The CAA shall pay the agreed amount on production of monthly bill. No other charges of any kind shall be payable. TDS will be deducted as per prevailing income Tax Laws and certificate to this effect shall be provided by CAA.

The engaged person should furnish the registration details under Income Tax, Service Tax, etc… as applicable.

*fee means fee paid would be all inclusive, except for the service tax which if applicable would be paid extra. The personnel engaged will not be entitled to pay, perks, dearness allowances, residential telephone, transport facility, residential accommodation, personal staff, CGHS, medical reimbursement, leave etc. during the subsistence of the contract/agreement and even after the expiry of the contract/Agreement. No TA/DA shall
be admissible for joining the assignment or on its completion.

About the Coastal Aquaculture Authority:

The Coastal Aquaculture Authority Act, 2005 (24 of 2005) enacted by the Parliment of India on 23 June 2005 provides for the establishment of the Coastal Aquaculture Authority for regulating the activities connected with coastal aquaculture in coastal areas and matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. The Act mandates the Central Government to take all such measures as it deems necessary or expedient for regulation of coastal aquaculture by prescribing guidelines, to ensure that coastal aquaculture does not cause any detriment to the coastal environment and the concept of responsible coastal aquaculture contained in the guidelines shall be followed in regulating coastal aquaculture activities to protect the livelihood of various sections of people living in the coastal areas.

One of the major tasks accomplished by the CAA was the registration of shrimp farms on the recommendations of the State and District Level Committees constituted for this purpose. It is mandatory that all persons carrying on coastal aquaculture shall register their farm with the Coastal Aquaculture Authority.

SPF L VANNAMEI FARMING  The farmers intend to culture SPF L. vannamei  in the country have to obtain permission from CAA as per the Guidelines issued by DAHD&F, Ministry of Agriculture for this purpose.  Farmers, who have registered their farms with CAA, can apply in the prescribed format along with the prescribed processing fee.
