BARC Recruitment 2013-For Plant Operator,Laboratory,Various Post:The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) (Hindi: भाभा परमाणु अनुसन्धान केंद्र Bhābhā Paramānu Anusandhān Kendra) is India’s premier nuclear research facility based in Trombay, Mumbai. BARC is a multi-disciplinary research centre with extensive infrastructure for advanced research and development covering the entire spectrum of nuclear science, engineering and related areas.
BARC’s core mandate is to sustain peaceful applications of nuclear energy, primarily for power generation. It manages all facets of nuclear power generation, from theoretical design of reactors, computerised modelling and simulation, risk analysis, development and testing of new reactor fuel materials, etc. It also conducts research in spent fuel processing, and safe disposal of nuclear waste. Its other research focus areas are applications for isotopes in industries, medicine, agriculture, etc. BARC operates a number of research reactors across the country.

Educational Qualification:
HSC in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology subjects
OR
HSC (Physics, Chemistry & Maths subjects)/SSC with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Laboratory. The ITI/NCVT qualification should be either of the following:
1) ITI/NCVT of 2 years duration or
2) ITI of one-year duration plus one year relevant experience after completion of the course.
Or
HSC (10+2) in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects.
Pay Scale/Salary(in Rs.):Selected candidates would be eligible to get the pay scale of around Rs.6200/- per month for the 1st year and Rs.7200/- for the 2nd year.
Age Limit(in yrs): Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the age of 18 years Minimum and 22 Years Maximum as on 10/09/2013.
Age Relaxation:
Upper age limit prescribed above is relaxable as under :
a) upto a maximum of five years for Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe candidates.
b) upto a maximum of three years for OBC candidates.
c) upto Ten years for Physically Disabled UR candidates(applicable for Post No.2,3 &14) , fifteen years for Physically Disabled SC candidates (applicable only for Post No.2), fifteen years for Physically Disabled ST candidates (applicable only for Post No. 2, 3 & 14) and thirteen years for Physically Disabled OBC candidates (applicable for Post No. 2 ,3 & 14)

Total Duration of Training Period : Two years
PHYSICAL STANDARDS : Minimum Height : 160 cms. Minimum weight : 45.5 Kg (Relaxable if the candidate is otherwise medically fit).
WRITTEN EXAMINATION/SELECTION : Written Examination of one-hour duration will be conducted and will comprise of objective (multiple) type questions. The syllabus for the said examination will be based on subjects at SSC/HSC/ITI level as the case may be. Those candidates qualifying in the written Examination shall be short-listed for interview.
SCOPE OF TRAINING : Selected candidates will be given training at Tarapur / Mumbai & other places as decided by BARC in various aspects of relevant trades, as per prescribed syllabi of each trade and for meeting stringent requirements of BARC. The candidates will not have any choice/option for any particular training programme/training place.
How To Apply: Application will be accepted On-Line ONLY. Facility for On-line application will be available from 17/08/2013 to 10/09/2013.
General Things:
i. This Research Centre reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview in the ratio of 1 : 5, based on higher percentage of marks in the screening test. The decision of the Research Centre will be final and binding.
ii. The vacancies shown above are provisional and subject to variation.
iii. The nature of duties to be performed by the above categories involves working in round the clock shift duties, in operational plants and areas.
iv. Period of experience as prescribed in the advertisement will be determined with reference to the last date of receipt of applications (as applicable).
v. SC/ST outstation candidates called for written examination/interview will be paid to and fro travelling allowance of second-class Railway fare by the shortest route (subject to production of tickets) as per rules. However, Traveling Allowance is not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are already in Central/State Government services, Central/State Government Corporation, Public Undertakings, Local Government Institutions and Panchayats and the concession availed from Railways, if any, for undertaking journey for attending written examination/interview.
vi. Candidates may ensure that they fill in the correct information. Candidates who furnish false information will be disqualified for written exam/interview.
vii. Posting of the selected candidates would be at the discretion of the Competent Authority as per the availability of vacancies. They are liable to serve in any part of India, in any constituent unit of the Department of Atomic Energy.
