Andhra Bank, a Nationalised Bank with pan India presence has entered into an MOU with Manipal Global Education Services (MaGE) Bangalore, to provide training in Banking and Finance to prospective candidates aspiring to join Andhra Bank as Probationary Officers so that they are fully equipped to discharge their duties effectively from day one of joining the services of the bank.

 Andhra Bank was founded by the eminent freedom  fighter and a multifaceted genius, Dr. Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya. The Bank was registered on 20th November 1923 and commenced business on 28th November 1923 with a paid up capital of Rs 1.00 lakh and an authorised capital of Rs 10.00 lakhs.

Andhra Bank (Telugu: ఆంధ్రా బ్యాంకు) (BSE: 532418) is a medium-sized public sector bank (PSB), with a network of 1,938 branches, 15 extension counters, 38 satellite offices and 1098 automated teller machines (ATMs) as on 31 March 2012. During 2011–12, the bank entered the states of Tripura and Himachal Pradesh. The bank now operates in 25 states and three Union Territories.
The Government of India owns 51.55% of its share capital and is going to increase it to 58% by infusing INR1100 crore (US$170 million) in capital.The state owned Life Insurance Corporation of India holds 10% of the shares. The bank has done a total business of INR190535 crore (US$30 billion) for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2012.

Corporate Website is available in English, Hindi and Telugu Languages communicating Bank’s image and information. Bank has been given ‘BEST BANK AWARD’ a banking technology award by IDRBT, Hyderabad for extensive use of IT in Semi Urban and Rural Areas on 2 September 2006. IBA Jointly with TFCI has conferred the Joint Runner-up Award to the Bank in the Bet Payments initiative in recognition of outstanding achievement of the Bank in promoting ATM Channel. Bank successfully conducted ” Bancon 2006″, a two-day event at Hyderabad, deliberating on Inclusive Growth – A New Challenge. Kiddy Bank Scheme, with insurance benefits, was relaunched to inculcate savings habit among the children. Bank has mobilised nearly 90000 new accounts during 2007–08.

Andhra Bank Building at Koti As a part of “Financial Inclusion”, Andhra Bank adopted two districts, namely, Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh and Ganjam in Orissa and achieved 100% coverage. Andhra Bank has introduced Smart Card Scheme Pilot project in Warangal District and the same will be extended to other Lead Districts in due course. Bank has opened 2,11,000 accounts under “No-frill accounts” category till 30 June 2008.

Job Detail:

Educational Qualification:Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government.

Candidates who have been shortlisted after Common Interviews held in January 2013 in the recruitment process conducted by IBPS through Common Written Examination held on 17.06.2012 for PO/MT- II, and who have not been allotted to any of the Participating organisations.

Age Limit(in yrs): Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the age of 21-29 years .

Age Relaxation:In case of OBC 3 year’s age relaxation, 5(five) years age relaxation in case of SC/ST candidates and 5 (five) years age relaxation in case of in-service regular Government Servant. The upper age limit is relaxed up to 50 years in the case of Group “C” and “D” persons working under State Government /NHPC and other Central Government establishment or undertakings in the State of Sikkim on MR/Adhoc/Substitute/Contract/Work Charge basis. In- Service candidate should apply through proper channel.

Pay Scale/Salary(in Rs.):Selected candidates would be eligible to get the pay scale of around Rs.14500-25700/-.

Hiring  Procedure: Candidates shall be selected by Andhra Bank through a selection process consisting of Group Discussion and/or Interview, from among those applicants who have applied in response to our Advertisement and fulfill all the above referred eligible criteria.

● Fill in the Fee Payment Challan in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.

(vi) In case a candidate chooses to pay fees through NEFT:

● Fill in the NEFT Receipt in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.

(vii) Obtain the Applicant‟s Counterfoil Copy of the Application Fee Payment Challan/ NEFT Receipt duly authenticated by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & BIC No, (b) Transaction id/Scroll number (in case of payment through CBS ), NEFT UTR No(in case of payment through NEFT) (c) Date of Deposit & amount filled by the Branch Official.
