1. Sr. Scientific Asst (Physics): 01 Post
2. Sr. Preservation Asst: 01 Post
Age Limit: Maximum age limit for the candidates is 30 years for S.No.1 Post and 27 years for S.No.2 Post as on 22-04-2013. Relaxation is valid as per the rules.
Educational Qualifications: Masters Degree in Physics / Biophysics/ Forensic Science with Physics as one of the subjects at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent for S.No.1 Post; and B.Sc. with Botany from a recognized University for S.No.2 Post with relevant experience.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Screening Test/ Written Proficiency Test/ Interview.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay the fee of Rs.50/- in the shape of CRFS pasted at the top of the application in the space provided which must be got cancelled from the counter clerk of any post office. Women candidate/ Schedule Castes/ Schedule Tribes/ PH are exempted from the fees.
How to Apply: Candidates can send applications in the prescribed format available on the website ‘http://ssc.nic.in’ along with one recent passport size photograph affixed and one additional duly attested photograph to be enclosed, attested copies of all relevant certificates/ mark sheets, caste certificate (if applicable) by super scribing the post applied for must reach to Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (NER), Housefed Complex, Last Gate, Beltola Basistha Road, Dispur, Guwahati-781006 (Assam) on or before 22-04-2013 by 5.00 PM. Candidates must produce Original Certificates at the time of interview.

Name of the Post: Professional Assistant/ Scientific Assistant
Age Limit: Candidates age should be 18 years to 27 years as on 08-04-2013. Age is relaxable for Departmental candidates up to 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or Geo-Physics or Geology or Meteorology or Hydro-meteorology from a recognized university or equivalent.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay RS-50/- in the shape of CRFS. These stamps are available at all departmental Post Offices of the country. These stamps may be pasted at the top of the application in the space provided for the purpose. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of examinations fee.
Selection Process: candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Screening Test or Proficiency Test, Interview.
