Hiring Process : Face to Face Interview
Qualifications : 1st Class B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering (Preference will be given to those who have had undergraduate project related to Transportation/Highway Engineering). Computational Skill : Conversant with Window /Linux Operating System, MS or any Open office tools, and Computer Aided Design and Drawing tools.

How to apply: The application should contain in a single portable document file, in addition the following
document should be furnished,
- Curriculum Vitae including the phone number, email and postal address,
- one page write-up on the research experience,
- names of 2 referees with designation, postal address and email address, and
- arrange 2 reference letters sent via email to the Principal Investigator.
The application can be sent via email, with subject “Application for Project Assistant-SERB-Civil Engineering,” to the Principal Investigator no later than 25th November 2013. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview (TA/DA will not be provided to attend the interview). After satisfactory performance in the interview, the candidate will be selected for the position. The selected candidates should produce the original mark sheets as well as the category certificates (if applicable) at the time of joining
Expected Date of Appointment: 1st January 2014 or earlier.
Additional Information: The candidate selected as Project Assistant may seek admission to pursue M.Tech (Research) Degree in Transportation Engineering (and later Doctoral Degree) at NITK after fulfilling the admission criteria and other formalities of NITK, Surathkal.
