Educational Qualification:Applicants Should be a graduate in Psychology / Social Work / Sociology / Anthropology / Human Development or hold a diploma in Nursing .
Experience: Candidates have minimum of 3-5 years experience in the field of HIV/AIDS. In the case of those recruited from the community of people infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS, graduates for any field or those with a diploma in Nursing may be considered, if they have a minimum of one year of experience in the field of HIV/AIDS. It is desirable that the counselor holds a postgraduate degree either in Psychology (MA/M.Sc) or Social Work.

Pay Scale:Eligible candidates will get the pay of Rs.8000/-.
Note:- The above advertised posts of Counselors and one post of Laboratory Technician are of backlog from reserved categories. In case an eligible candidate from reserved category appears for the written test/interview, he/she will be given preference. The appointment shall be on purely contract basis on consolidated salary against the vacancy reserved for OBC category for the period of upto 31.03.2014 subject to the condition in case the candidate of reserve category is available earlier, the service of general candidates shall be terminated without any notice as soon as the reserve category candidates join.
Age Limit: Candidates who are appearing for this post should have not Exceeding 60 years.
Note:The upper age limit is relaxable for the following specified categories to the extent indicated below.
i) By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities.
ii) By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.
iii) By 5 years to candidates who have originally been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
Selection Process: Selection will be on the basis of Written Exam and Personal Interview depending on the number of applications received.
Note:Eligible candidates will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude test in engineering GATE-2014, Based on the GATE-2014 Marks, candidates will be short listed for Personal Interview .

About the Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society (CSACS) :
Chandigarh is the first well planned modern city of India designed by the French Architect Le Corbusier.
