Note:The relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates in Rajasthan shall be applicable as per state government rules.

Selection Process: The candidates will have to appear for interview.
Application Fee : DD for Rs.500/- or by sending a requisition accompanied by a DD for Rs.550/- drawn in favour of Tamil Nadu Open University payable at Chennai.

Filled-in application forms along with all the enclosures should reach the University on or before 5 : 00 P.M on 30-09-2013
General Instruction:
a) A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks, at the Masters Degree level to the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/Differently abled (physically and visually differentlyabled) categories.
b) A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks, to the Ph.D., Degree holders who have passed their Masters Degree prior to 19th September 1991.
c) Candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D., Degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D., Degree) Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET / SLET / SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
d) NET / SLET / SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET / SLET / SET is not conducted.
e) SC (A) denotes “Scheduled Caste” – Arunthathiar. If suitable and qualified candidates of Arunthathiar Community are not available for selection and appointment in the turn allotted to them, the turn so allotted shall go to other SC candidates within that category on merit basis as per G.O. (Ms) No. 61 Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (TD2) Department, dated : 29-05-2009.
f) The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post.
g) The University reserves the right to shortlist the candidates
h) Application received after the last date will be summarily rejected.
i) Enquiries on the above subject will not be entertained.
