- The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) was launched in April 2005. The NRHM focused especially on 18 states, with poor infrastructure and low public health indicators, namely the eight Empowered Action Group (EAG) states – (Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Odisha and Rajasthan), the eight North Eastern States (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura) and two other states, namely, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

Educational Qualification:
- MBBS Degree from recognized University
- Diploma/MD Radio diagnosis
- Begistration with Medical Council of India
Note:- If sufficient no. of candidates belonging to SC/OBC will not be available, the vacancies shall be filled up by candidates belonging General Category .The appointment shall be on purely contract basis on consolidated salary against the vacancy reserved for SC/OBC category for the period upto 30th September 2013.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates would be eligible to get the pay scale of around Rs. 53,750/- (Approx.)
Age Limit: Interested candidates who are appearing for this post should have the age 60 years.
Note:The relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates in Rajasthan shall be applicable as per state government rules.
